OAV Episode 14

I’ve been dying to see this episode because in this episode, Tenchi’s going to find out about her mother and sister and his fiancee. The scene when Tenchi thought that her sister, Tennyo was her mother was really touching.

Tenchi stands in the entrance hall in a state of shock; the woman that has come to visit looks exactly like his late mother. He sinks to his knees, tears streaming down his face. “Mother! You’re alive!” he cries. The woman, a sad look upon her face, starts to explain, but Nobuyuki comes downstairs at that moment. He rushes to hug the woman, but when he tries to plant a kiss on her she punches him out of the house and into the lake! “That was mean, Tennyo!” he protests, crawling out of the water. Meeting the puzzled looks of Tenchi and the girls, he explains that the woman is not Kiyone, his late wife, but Tennyo, Tenchi’s big sister!

I want to see more of the OAvs, I’ve only finished until episode 16, I’m dying to watch the remaing 4 episodes!

tm2

Tenchi Muyo started out as an OAV (Original Animation Video) and due to it’s success, a tv series (with two seasons) and movies plus some spin-offs (Pretty Sammy and Tenchi Muyo GXP) push through.

The OAV is divided into three parts: OAV 1, OAV 2 and OAV 3.The first 13 Tenchi Muyo! OVAs are actually two separate series. Series one comprises episodes 1-7, and series two episodes 8-13. The third series kicks off with episode 14 and ends with episode 20.

The first episode of the new Tenchi Muyo! OVA series was released in Japan on the 18th of September 2003, with further episodes following at semi-regular intervals thereafter. The sixth and supposedly final episode was released on the 16th of March 2005, but a seventh episode was announced shortly after, and was released in September 2005.
