The CD drama is released after the TV series. Ran and Myao meet a princess while travelling. The Princess, Tama (voiced by Kawasumi Ayako), is on her way to her county, where one of her senior vassals tries to kill her over succession to the family. Ran and Myao decide to help her out.
Apparently Mr Daichi had this idea of Ran and Myao attacked while they are in onsen, which is obviously unsuitable for TV. So he used it in this CD ^_^

Miao was with Ran wandeing while having a stiff neck. Then they came to this certain commotion with a lot of people. It looked like there was a faith healer urging everybody to let go of their money and they would be blessed. Miao begged thet her neck be healed and there was a person who also pleaded for her but only students of the sensei can be healed if they trained had and gave their money out. Sensei decided that Maio would be an exception but he says that do she should not expect to healed as soon as possible. Somehow, when the sensei chatted his chants, Miao’s head bumped into something hard and her stiff neck quickly healed. She then asked to be a student of the fake healer. Ebentually during the meetings of the group, each student offered their money to the group. One person actually was not able to offer any Somon dono, and the master said thathe hope he would not be punised. But his house got burned which was actually a trick of the fake healer and thanks to Ran his daughter was rescued. Miao and Ran also disposed the fake healers group and in th end, Soemon - dono thank Ran and felt insecure that she would be going away. Ran said that that was his weakness after all, relying to someone when he could just instead relied on himself. Soemon dono was enlightened and ask Ran to be his master. Ran run way buts he was still being followed.

Miao was walking along the sea when he passed by a man flying a kite. Being attracted to the man, she suddenly approached him and ask what he is doing. He is actually making an experiment like that of Einstein using the kite, collecting eregi which he believes has a strong power that can be used by mankind. After that, Miao went to Ran who is as usual, drinking sake at a restaurant. Miao made some absurd story that the guy actually like her, making Ran lose her appetite for sake. Outside the restaurant, they were attacked by men, fishermen friends of Genkai-sama the one flying the kite. Omani, the girl who saw Maiao approached sensei told the fishermen about it and they panicked due to kikuheme-ya used women to seduce genkai-sensei. they apologized and promised that they will trea the 2 well but they can’t ofer too much due to the they can’t ctach more fish because there were bandits called hakumento. In order to finance sensei’s project, they decided to board a ship for shipping and asked Ran to be their guard. Ran declined leaving Miao to be the guard. As Ran was walking she overheard about an argument about eregi, she did not let the conversation finished and went away. She came into a restaurantand Genkai sensei was also there talking to 2 people who were actually betting if he would give into temptation of accepting money from hakuya’s men. When the 2 men went away, Ran approached Genkai sensei to have a toast. she said something like, so money is what is need by scholars to help men.. taihen da ne… and this somewhat enlightend sensei. when night came, Ran showed up to fulfill the request of the fishermen. The boat was attacked by the masked bandits. Ran manages to outwit them and said something like kazegi hikazuki (may be an attack) andthey managed to unmasked the bandits..they were hakuya’s men! One of the fisherman get injured so they went back. They leraned that sensei went by himself to hakuya to decline his offer. But the guy really has bad manners and made him sign an agreement. Good thing Ran and Miao was on time to dispose the garbage. Later on, on a stormy da they ere gathering eregi, sensei, the fishemen and Miao when they ere strucked by lightning. Ran went away laughing…
